Shirakawago and Takayama

After having our breakfast and a sad goodbye to Mama-san and Momo-chan, we continued to Kanazawa Station to take  a bus to Shirakawago....here's the ticket

Finally, we reached Shirakawago and the morning rain makes everything feel and looks fresh

The bus ticket counter next to the bus stop

Now its time to cross the bridge

The side walkway along the river

In front of the bridge.....lets go!!!

In the middle of the bridge.....I've been here during the Sakura blooming season and it was snowing here...so the landscape looks a bit difference.  This time around, the river undercurrent was not as strong as during that time....hmmm

The tori leading to the village

Vegetables garden along side this house....so nice

The cool ice water running through the drain.........you would not believe it but there is fishes inside them hehehe

Still got some flowers left and it makes my picture look nicer ヽ(;▽;)ノ

A souvenir shop at the main road

Again the flowers makes my picture nice hehehehe  (⌒▽⌒)☆

A water wheel next to a house

My travel buddy with the houses of Shirakawago at the background

We went into one of the house just to see how the inside look like.........

I just can't stopped from snapping picture of houses with flowers hihihi (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

Water running at the side of "padi" fields with old houses..........aaaa....the serenity of the place

Another nice snap

Most of the houses have these red cherry like fruits (which I don't think we can eat tho).....maybe for good blessing of something *(*´∀`*)☆

The thatched roofs up-closed

Another nice house

A pathway from the main road leading to the way up to the viewing point

The gravel road....nice isn't it???!!!

Yeah after climbing the steep road, we finally reached the view point..........and the village down the valley looks soo beautiful landscaped with autumn leaves

The place to snap a picture

My sis busy with her hp to take pictures

Ahhhh....the sun finally out...........the sky turn blue and it looks soo much beautiful

A nice snap of the viewing point

After getting all the pictures that we need, we went down back to the village and took a stroll around

Padi field with gassho-zukuri farmhouse

I think I overdo it here.............sooo many pictures to share....must be because of the place...all my pictures turn out beautiful hehehehe O(≧▽≦)O

Ahhh...look how nice the vegetables

Yum.....imagining these in miso soup makes my mouth water........I must be hungry hahahaha

More padi field with the farmhouses............I just can't get enough of them (*^ワ^*)

More farmhouse

My sis together with the scarecrows of Shirakawago..............they blended well together right??? hahahaha

After spending about nearly 3hrs, we quickly went back to the bus station to catch our bus to Takayama....still managed to snap a few last pictures of Shirakawago

The Shirakawago Bridge

After about an hour bus ride, we reached our next destination and our stop for the nite....Takayama

The train station next to the bus station

Since we still got time....now its time to go and explore the old town...since we stayed at Jhopper Takayama, it only takes about 5 min walk to get to this area

A row of old town houses
The red bridge where the Takayama Spring Festival always took place

It was raining while we were strolling but luckily we borrow umbrellas from the hostel...yokatta

A nice looking souvenir shop along the street

A nice looking hat with Takayama on it

One last snap of the row of houses at the old town
